Sustainability

Commitment to the Environment

Sustainability and respect for the environment is inherent to the caravanning philosophy

, so we want these principles to be reflected in all our vehicles and in their manufacture:

Sustainability and innovation.

ISO 14001 certification guarantees the implementation of measures aimed at improving the sustainability of our production process and reducing our carbon footprint on the planet.

Use of resources

From the earliest stages of design, we seek to minimise the impact of our vehicles on the environment by controlling consumption, CO2 emissions during manufacture and the selection of materials.

Commitment to renewable energy

Most of the energy used to manufacture your Benimar motorhome comes from renewable energy sources. Between 2023 and 2024 almost 1000 solar panels were installed covering an area of more than 2,500 m2.

A second chance.

50% of the waste generated during manufacture is recycled and we are committed to increasing this percentage.

The importance of water.

Our industrial plant has its own water treatment plant that allows us to reuse the water from product controls and not waste it.

Local suppliers

Every year we increase the number of national suppliers in order to reduce travel and minimise emissions.

Minimising our Carbon Footprint

We regularly report and work on a daily basis to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the care of the planet by controlling consumption and CO2 emissions during the manufacture of our vehicles. For example, the new solar panels will allow us to stop emitting 230T of CO2 annually.

Local action, global result

We strive to optimise our vehicles as much as possible for efficient and responsible fuel consumption.

Furthermore, we remind our customers that in order to continue contributing to a better protection of our Environment, they must take their vehicle to a waste management company for proper end-of-life processing.

The 400kW (410.93kWp) self-consumption installation project for BENIMAR OCARSA SAU is covered by the programme of incentives linked to self-consumption and storage, with renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union NextGenerationEU, with the file IDAUT2/2021/1545.

The grant awarded amounts to 46,167.98€.
